Class Definitions

Core Conditioning – this class is for patients who would improve with a focus on core stability of their trunk, core, back and glutes. These classes are a whole-body workout that will leave you feeling stable and reduce pain. A crowd favourite and we are constantly trying to find new sessions to fit into the timetable.

Upper limb, Neck and Shoulder – this is a strength class with a focus on the upper back, shoulders and neck. Using the gym equipment and free weights, your instructor will challenge your upper body to gain strength and function.

Lumbo-pelvic-hip – this is a strength class with a focus on the lower back, pelvis and hip regions. Using the gym equipment and free weights, your instructor will challenge your lower body to gain strength and function. Think squats and lunges but more interesting and engaging. This class will help you get in and out of a chair and up and down stairs easily again!

Strong legs OA class – this class is for patients who have been diagnosed or are at risk of knee osteoarthritis (OA). There is a plethora of research showing that supervised knee strength classes reduce the pain and dysfunction of knee OA making this class a favourite of our clients with sore knees!

ONERO™ Osteoporosis Classes – these classes have been designed by researchers from Griffith University and combine a series of weight bearing exercises to gain bone density and muscle mass. With support from your accredited instructor, you will lift weights you didn’t think possible which results in better strength, better function, increased bone density and a happier life!
