Andrea Pantoja

As a 12-year-old gymnast receiving treatment, Andrea decided she wanted to become a physiotherapist. Andrea is very passionate about helping people and getting them back to their best. Everyone has goals to achieve, big or small, and these goals became hers also.
Andrea has 16 years experience working as a physio having first completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Exercise and Sport Science) in 2004, and a Master of Physiotherapy in 2006 at the University of Sydney.
Andrea’s career has been enriched by working in a variety of private practice settings; working in multidisciplinary sports medicine teams, a busy central London clinic, a Women’s health clinic, and running her own private practice. She has also completed many courses over the years with her greatest area of interest being injuries of the pelvis and spine.
Andrea has worked with people from all walks of life, working with elite and amateur athletes from a variety of sports including rugby league, soccer, cricket, netball, and gymnastics. To working with children and the elderly population.
Andrea has extensive experience in treating a range of acute and chronic injuries and has a particular interest in treating lumbo-pelvic pain. Having suffered back pain herself; training as an elite gymnast she sustained a stress fracture in her lumbar spine. It was during this time she was introduced to core stability training and clinical pilates.
Andrea has a holistic treatment approach which incorporates a fusion of specific hands on therapy and specific muscle retraining. She focuses on restoring optimal movement patterns and posture to ensure long-term gains.
As well as being a physio, Andrea is a mother to two active children. Loves going for runs and attending pilates classes herself.
